The Courthouse is open for Personal Walking Tours. Guide booklets for a walking tour are provided at no cost. They may be picked up at the security desk when you enter the building. Brochures describing the preservation are also available. Books about the restoration and artwork are available for purchase through the Trust or at the Fort Wayne History Center.

Visitors are encouraged to tour this National Historic Landmark with a trained docent. The informative presentation covers a history of the courthouse, the community leaders behind preservation efforts, interpretation of the artwork and a discussion of the techniques and processes used in restoration. Special accommodations can be made for weekend tours or groups that exceed 30.

“Fall in Love with Fort Wayne”
This hands on field trip offers 4th grade students a chance to experience the exhibits at The History Center and imagine the grandeur of the law in the Allen County Courthouse. Developed by Fort Wayne Community Schools, The History Center and The Allen County Courthouse Preservation Trust with funding from the Goldstine Foundation, Fall-in-Love with Fort Wayne is great news for all Allen County School teachers interested in free transportation and free admission to two of downtown Fort Wayne’s premier historical venues!
